Daniel Mesquita on guitar and Enrique Thompson on tenor saxophone, a South American duo based in Vienna, combine music from their countries, like Tango, Chorinho, Bossa Nova, Samba, Argentinian Folk Music, Forró, Zamba, Chacarera, etc. with Classical Music, Jazz, Blues, Funk and their own compositions. After merging different musical styles they decided to form an acoustic duo that also performs as a trio, quartet and quintet. 

The combination of our South American roots with European composition techniques, jazz and contemporary music, has created an exquisite sound full of Latin American colors and contemporary music. In their repertoire they have a mixture of traditional pieces in combination with new composition methods as well as experimental styles which are not usually played in that format. You can listen from a Tango mixed with Jazz improvisation language and techniques to a contemporary version of the Brazilian Choro.
